Purpose

Who we serve

We trust that God will place each dog in the home where it will live its best life. For us, that's usually one of two homes: a hunting family or a family looking for a calm, well-bred companion.

Hunting families

Steady in the blind, strong in the water, and ready to keep working until the bird is in hand. Bred and finished for waterfowl, upland, and shed hunting.

Active families

Some of the most incredible family dogs on the planet. Calm, well-mannered, and loyal, raised to fit right into family life.

Heritage

Mark and Jason Stevenson

Mark has spent over 50 years raising and training Labradors in the Yakima Valley. Jason is now his partner, carrying the bloodline forward as the next generation of Water Walker Labs. We don't breed dogs for profit. We breed to better the breed and to create a bloodline of perfection. Our mission is to share what God has shared with us.

Questions We Are Asked

The questions we hear most from families reaching out about a Water Walker Labradors.

What kind of ongoing support do you offer after a dog goes home?

After purchase, we are available by phone to answer any questions you have. Our families become part of the Water Walker Labs story.

Can buyers visit the dogs in person, or do you ship?

All of our dogs are personally picked up in Mabton, Washington. We do not transport dogs by plane.

Do you offer a health guarantee?

Yes. We guarantee our puppies to be healthy and free of any natural-cause issues for 12 months, provided all shots, vaccines, and health care are kept current and documented.

Can I request a trained dog be trained for something specific?

We offer obedience and hunting training for our own dogs only. Depending on the program, training runs from 4 months up to 24 months.

Are puppies spayed or neutered before going home?

No. Spay and neuter timing is left to the family and their veterinarian.

Do puppies come with shots and health records?

Yes. Every puppy goes home with AKC registered puppy papers, a full shot record, worming, and a wellness check. A complete instructional packet is given at pickup.

Can I reserve a puppy? How does the reservation process work?

Reserving a puppy is simple. Submit a puppy inquiry form, or call Mark at (509) 515-6112 or Jason at (509) 830-4153.

How old are puppies before they can come home?

Puppies typically go home between 7 and 8 weeks old. By then they are weaned, on solid food and water, and highly socialized.

How many litters do you produce per year, and why do you keep it limited?

We typically breed one litter a year. This protects the quality of our dogs and allows us to meet the needs of clients who want a fully trained dog from us.

What makes your bloodline special, and how do you select your mama dogs?

Our female dogs are hand-selected based on conformation, ear set, weight, size, demeanor, and nose. We breed them with a sire bloodline that has been with our family for five generations.

Do you train any dog?

No. We only train dogs that come from our breeding program. This lets us guarantee both the bloodline and the temperament behind every finished dog we produce.

Still have questions?

Fill out the form on our contact page or call Mark (509) 515-6112 or Jason (509) 830-4153. We talk through what you need, answer your questions, and work out the details.
